Saint Joseph Health System hospitals offer full Emergency Services on a 24-hour basis. The emergency rooms are staffed by full-time physicians who are board certified in emergency medicine and by nurses certified in emergency care and advanced life support.

As of April 25, 2010, we have reinvented, redefined and recommitted our process and have introduced the No-Wait Emergency Rooms at Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph East and Saint Joseph-Jessamine.

The concept behind a No-Wait ER is to begin emergency care within five minutes of arrival. Physical and logistical changes have been made, from the first step you take through the front door till the minute you leave the department.

Emergency physicians on the medical staff and nurses and technicians participate in ongoing continuing education programs to keep abreast of current trends and developments in emergency care. Follow the links below for more information on programs at specific hospitals.
