Overview During a normal day, you breathe nearly 25,000 times. When people have lung disease, they have difficulty breathing and may not be able to supply their body with the oxygen it needs to work and grow.
The Division of Pulmonology / Inpatient Critical Care provides testing, diagnosis and treatment for lung disease and disorders. During treatment, our medical team focuses on education and rehabilitation to help control the symptoms that negatively affect patients' health and quality of life.
Conditions we evaluate, diagnose and treat, on both an inpatient and outpatient basis, include:
- Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
- Asthma
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Chronic bronchitis
- Emphysema
- Cystic fibrosis
- Interstitial lung disease
- Lung Cancer
- Sleep disorders
- Insomnia
- Restless leg syndrome
- Sleep apnea
